The Education Collaboratory is a research center that advances the science of learning and social and emotional development.

First housed at Yale University, and now established at the University of Massachusetts Amherst College of Education, we connect evidence, policy, and practice by setting a new standard for rigorous, actionable research built to serve every learner.

We are leading education scientists building the infrastructure to turn social and emotional research into real-world impact. We operate at the intersection of psychological science, translation, advancing the generation, and effective use of educational evidence to support students, educators, and systems worldwide.

Mission

To advance the science of learning and social and emotional development so that all students are seen, served, and safe to learn.

Vision

Education research must be rigorous, realistic, and actionable. We equip decision-makers with the data they need to build systems where all students can truly thrive.
